Energi Danmark is an international group with +200 employees in Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway and Germany, selling electricity to businesses and public institutions.

In the autumn of 2023, Energi Danmark faced a large and critical task: migrating their website from Umbraco to WordPress CMS. The project was business-critical as their website is a central channel for communication with customers and stakeholders across multiple countries.

The project
The migration included moving content, but also ensuring that all features, design and user experience were retained and improved where possible. In addition, we had to take different languages into account as the site had to function optimally in six different languages: Danish, Swedish, Finnish, Norwegian, German and English. With a timeframe of only six weeks, precise coordination and collaboration across our team and Energi Danmark’s internal IT department was needed. The project involved the following key activities:
A successful process and migration
The migration was completed within the planned timeframe of six weeks and Energi Danmark was able to enjoy their new and improved WordPress site without downtime. The new platform offered better usability, easier administration and a more efficient way to update and maintain content.
