Workshop: From handbook to app
Early in the process, we organised a full-day workshop in collaboration with STENO. Participants were managers and healthcare professionals from the municipalities in Southern Denmark, private podiatrists and dieticians, clinical staff from the diabetes departments at the hospitals in Southern Denmark, management, staff and clinicians at Steno Diabetes Centre Odense.
During the workshop, we carried out a number of practical tasks, whose joint conclusions were summarised in the first visual prototype, which we iterated on together.
An essential digital tool
The app is the digital version of the Diabetes Handbook – Practical Diabetes Care and Treatment, which was previously published in PDF format. It brings together the latest knowledge and facts about diabetes for healthcare professionals to have at their fingertips.
In the app, you can search for keywords, save favourites, receive notifications of important changes and much more. The app comes with a user-friendly backend where all content can be managed.
