An effective internal tool

With AVA, AffaldVarme Aarhus gets an app that visualises relevant key figures of operations. The app is an important internal tool that many employee groups use to get an overview and make better decisions in the control room and on the go.

Simple visualisation despite complicated architecture

The primary purpose of the app is to visualise key figures from AffaldVarme Aarhus’ operations. The data originates from a multitude of external meters and production units and is ultimately redistributed to the app through an API.

This allows AVA employees to quickly and easily put together the data overview that is relevant to them – even when they are on the move and far from the control room.

The Dashboard app can also be used on large screens in control rooms, reception areas, offices and other places where access to an always up-to-date stream of key metrics is beneficial.

Strong collaboration on dashboard app

The solution was created in close collaboration with AffaldVarme Aarhus and the business intelligence company Inspari.

The app’s interface allows the user to move tiles around and resize them according to device and type of visualisation.

The overall solution is based on a complex underlying technical architecture that draws data from various meters, production units and other data sources.

That’s why we’re especially proud that we’ve been instrumental in creating a simple visualisation tool that can create value across the app’s broad target audience.
