The launch of the ‘Pant’ app is a significant step towards the goal, and in in July 2022, Danish citizens set a new national record by returning 200 million cans and bottles. That’s about 6.5 million per day, demonstrating a robust commitment to environmental sustainability. The app is a crucial tool in achieving complete recycling.
A Streamlined and Sustainable Solution
In partnership with the Danish Return System and Systemate, Makeable has developed the ‘Pant’ app, now in use at the nation’s newest recycling stations. This tool is designed to boost recycling rates by refining the deposit process.
Pant integrates all functionalities into a single digital platform, where users can create accounts, scan items, receive digital receipts, and conduct transactions seamlessly. This system is vital for promoting a sustainable, circular economy, ensuring the recycling and remelting of glass, metal, and plastic in a closed-loop system that maximizes material longevity.
